Bonus!

So, with me... It's the little things. Just as toilet flushers that don't match faucet fixtures really tick me off, the smallest extra touches can really make my day.  

Thus, I was tickled pink to find out the shelves in the kitchen pull out!  And earlier in the build, our PM made sure I could turn our flood lights on and off from our bedroom ( in addition to the switch downstairs.) Love it. 

We were too budget conscious to pay for the built in shower seat/ bench so I found this cute teak bench to use instead.

More " fun stuff " is being put in.... Sinks, finishing touches on the tile, our tankless water heater, dishwasher, etc.  Our toilets  are in, too.  Is it strange that I am completely annoyed that our "flushers" are chrome and don't match our oil rubbed bronze fixtures?  It's weird what building a house makes you care about.  I have already found new ones on Amazon to switch them out with. :)

Granite is in!  Island is in!  Bar and crown moulding and some of the hardwood, too!!  The countdown is on!!! :)

The Fun Stuff

Our cabinets are in ( !!! ) and I love them!  Balusters are in and so are interior doors.  Things are beginning to look so " homey" and we are getting excited to be in our home in less than 30 days!!! :).

Moving right along!

The house really started to come to life this week!  Shutters are in, driveway is done, bathrooms are being installed!  Our closing date has been moved up to December 17!!!!!

Oh, yes! It's siding!

Our beautiful Irish Thistle siding was installed this weekend!  We were surprised to see them working on it today ( Sunday) when we went by.  It's all coming together!!!

It's beginning to look like a home

We can't believe how much has been done lately!  Our drywall is in place and the mud and tape has been added.  Our garage door has been installed and the front door (which I love) has all the moulding in the correct places!  The oil rubbed bronze fixtures are in on many of the doors.   Interior moulding and flooring should start to be installed and siding should start soon, too.  Everything is on track for a December 20 closing!
